2007 - 2009
• Led the project to bring the Corporate Credit Analysis to India from various geographies, in a phased manner. Taking stakeholders consent and devising the transition plan and BCP for the same. • Established Large Corporate Credit analysis division of HSBC. Charted strategic decision for the entire credit unit as well as established BCP plan. Made a saving of six figure dollar amount, designed a business plan as per that & collaborated with various stakeholders for same. • Established and nurtured a 100 member Corporate Credit Analysis Team across two centres, Bangalore and Kolkata • Undertook Credit analysis of the client company and recommended on the credit worthiness of the clients, for exposure the bank can take, commenting on the profit the bank earns from the clients, and suggesting ways to improve it. • Prepared reports on Macro-economic factors affecting the performance of the Industry and the client company. Critically examined the strategy of the company and analysed the client on a Standalone basis in comparison with its peers.Undertook financial analysis with special emphasis on the liquidity and sustainability of the underlying assumption in the projection. • Strong experience in taking the credit proposal through the decision making process successfully by satisfying the Approvers (Risk) concern regarding credit appraisal report, with inputs from the Relationship Teams. • Well versed with Spreading the financials and the adjustments undertaken and have undertaken it in case of paucity of time for an urgent submission. • Adept at generating credit underwriting score from the system. Vendor Risk management has become mandatory, under the Dodd-Frank Act • Assisted an European bank improve their product targeting, through Analytics based solution.
